The walk starts at Bridge Books's store at the Rand Club building. Then we explore Joburg's historic district.

We'll visit the Joubert Street market, home to many of the 70-plus booksellers in the CBD, and De Strong Tower, importers of Nigerian religious books. There's also spaza shops, religious shops, sidewalk vendors and fashion boutiques -- which all sell books too.

The tour starts at 10am. Secure parking is available in front of the Rand Club.

Please remember your mask, wear walking shoes, and carry some small cash in case you want to buy from one of the vendors.
